Why “no VAT to add” matters
Dental care is exempt from VAT, so most practices can’t reclaim the VAT they pay on software. A price shown as £29.99 + VAT costs most practices £35.99 a month.
Squte isn’t VAT-registered, so our prices are the full amount you pay. A practice that is partly exempt can recover some VAT; your accountant can tell you how much.

Pricing questions
- What does it cost? Is there VAT?
- £25, £45 or £79 per clinician a month, with no VAT to add. Essential is £39 a month and Pro £69 a month billed yearly. Squte is not VAT-registered, so the price you see is the full price.
- Is there a free trial? Do I need a card?
- Yes: 14 days or 100 visits, whichever comes first. We take a card when you start, so your notes carry on without a break when the trial ends. Nothing is charged during the trial.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- When the trial ends, the plan you chose starts and your card is charged for the first month. Your notes, settings and voice sample carry over. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing: cancel in your account settings, or email hello@squte.co.uk and we cancel it for you the same working day.
- What happens if I go over my plan’s limit?
- You are never billed extra. On Starter, new visits pause at 100 in a month until you upgrade. On Essential and Pro the limits are soft: if you go over two months running, we talk to you about the right plan.
- Do I get a VAT invoice?
- No: Squte is not VAT-registered, so there is no VAT to show. You get a receipt for the full amount.
- Is it tax-deductible?
- Ask your accountant. We can’t give tax advice, and the answer depends on how your practice is set up.
